The Inspiration Behind beCAUSE minded Gift Boxes

beCAUSE minded was founded when Jessica couldn’t find any luxury branded corporate gifts that gave back. She wanted to give meaningful gifts, but it seemed like she had to choose between typical branded gifts like shirts, coolers, and koozies (yawn), luxurious gifts, and gifts that give back. But, Jessica didn’t want to choose and knew it was possible to have all the good & quality items in a gift box. So Jessica created a team of like-minded change-makers and they started searching for high-quality products making a positive social impact. beCAUSE minded has been changing the gift giving game ever since.

beCAUSE minded sources their products for the gift boxes from companies who create employment opportunities for survivors of sex trafficking, refugees on the Syrian/Turkish border, people who are differently-abled, the transitioning homeless as well as companies that donate 50% or more of their profits to a non-profit or cause. Some of these causes include researching a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, providing lights to children in Uganda, supporting orphanages, and educating girls and women in developing countries.

I’ve been loving my gifted beCALMED box which features so many meaningful items for relaxing. 

  • The hand-loomed Pebbles Pestemal Turkish Towel is ethically made by Syrian refugees. This towel is soft and I’ve been using it as a light weight beach towel. It’s great because it isn’t too thick, so it is easy to fold up and take with you anywhere. 

  • The Lavender Sprig Soy Wax Candle empowers young moms and their families. The scent features herbal lavender flowers interlaced with unexpected accents of fresh-cut grass. As someone who uses candles everyday this was one of my favorite items in the box. The scent was light and refreshing, perfect for ending the day. 

  • The Calming Lavender Lotion features a similar lavender scent to the candle and the proceeds support survivors of trafficking. I love putting this lotion on right before bed to help start the relaxation process. With the weather cooling down and the air becoming drier, I’m sure I’ll be using this daily. 

  • The Calming Lavender Bath Bombs are an amazing way to end the day. Enjoy the scent and calming effects of this lavender bath bomb before bedtime and drift off into a sweet sleep. The proceeds from these ethically made bath bombs support women survivors of trafficking.

  • The Chamomile Tea is something I’ve been using as part of my nightly routine. This organic tea is ethically made by Teatulia. The Teatulia co-op teaches organic farming, providing families with food and a way to strengthen their socio-economic condition by selling crops to local markets.
