Each bag is carefully crafted with high quality stitching and durable cork fabric. Select products feature linen linings and high quality metal hardware sourced from a woman owned U.S. based company. 

The Sustainability of Cork

Carry Courage cork fabrics are sourced from Portugal and PETA-approved vegan. The sustainable cork material is harvested from the bark of the Cork Oak tree.

Carry Courage’s cork fabric comes from sustainable forests that have strict harvesting regulations to protect the resource and ensure high quality. The Cork Oak is an amazing tree that actually benefits from the removal of the bark which regenerates every 8-10 years.

Harvesting cork bark is actually important in reducing greenhouse gasses because once harvested, these trees absorb about five times more CO2. This natural material is also biodegradable at the end of its life lifecycle. 

How is Cork Turned into Fabric?

Once the Coak Oak tree is of age, typically about twenty years old, the cork can be harvested. The cork pieces are sliced off into thin sheets, boiled, dried, shaved, and layed out to make fabric pieces. This process is free of harsh chemicals which makes cork another wonderful and sustainable choice.

Cork Pouch: Rule Breaker Zipper Pouch

I was gifted the Cream and Natural style Rule Breaker Zipper Pouches. I love that the Natural pouch goes with everything and has a more minimalistic design. The Cream pattern is so fun with a leaf like design, it really ties in the nature inspired elements. 

This Rule Breaker pouch is the perfect size for carrying a few cosmetics or using as an eco-friendly pencil pouch.

I’ve been using one of my zipper pouches to keep my sunglasses from getting scratched in my tote bag. I really appreciate the size of this because it’s super easy to throw into a larger bag for a weekend getaway or to head to a meeting.

I love that this pouch stands on its own. So many pouches tend to fall over, but the unique shape of this pouch allows it to stand on its own which is wonderful for filling up your pouch with goodies. 

Cork Luggage Tag & Keychain

I love the durability of these keychains. I’ve had so many keychains that fall apart due to getting tossed around in my purse, but this keychain really holds up!

I appreciate that this product can double as a luggage tag as well. The inside has a small spot to put contact information when traveling. I can’t wait to start traveling again and use this as a luggage tag too!
