My Review: Is the Viral Tastee Air Fryer Worth the Hype & Non-toxic?

I’d been seeing the viral Tastee air fryer all over social media and was excited to try it for myself. Tastee gifted me their new air fryer with the ceramic coated basket that is free from PFAS, PFOA & PTFE.

This is so important because unfortunately a lot of air fryers have forever chemicals. Back in 2023 I learned that the air fryer I was using had these forever chemicals and I had to make a switch.

I’ve been using the Tastee air fryer for three months now and what makes this air fryer different from any other that I’ve tested is the built in smart probe.

It makes this air fryer particularly great for cooking meat or fish because it can cook the food to the perfect internal temperature.

The Ultimate Test: Cooking Steak with the Tastee Air Fryer

I put this air fryer to the ultimate test with a steak! And wow was I impressed.

I know that eating steak can be controversial in the sustainability community, but I personally need red meat in my diet. I try to choose the most conscious option I can such as buying locally or regenerative options.

You can learn more about regenerative meat in our informative guide.

But if you don’t eat meat this air fryer works great for fish and veggies too!

By using Tastee’s non-toxic air fryer it was an easier and cleaner way to cook a steak than how we normally do it on the stove. There wasn’t smoke like there typically is when cooking on the stove.

My husband (who was more skeptical that I was) was impressed by how easy it was to use and how perfectly cooked the steak turned out.

When cooking steak using this air fryer, I appreciate how you can choose the cut of meat and how done you want it. Then the smart probe is able to get your meat to the right temperature.

We tried using a New York Strip and a Ribeye set to cook medium rare. It cooked it perfectly every time. It even gave the outside of the steak a nice crust. It cooked the steak to medium rare in about 20 minutes.

Tastee uses triple temperature sensor technology which uses algorithms to control temperature and wind speed to cook food exactly how you want it.

Tastee’s air fryer comes with Auto-Pilot Cooking algorithms tailored for steak, chicken, pork, fish and fries to ensure perfectly cooked food.

We’ve also used it to crisp up vegetables which has been great.

This air fryer is so versatile. It also has dehydrate and slow cook features which I have not tried yet.

Plus, you can also use their app to find additional recipes and kitchen tips!

The air fryer comes with the smart probe, non-stick tray, stainless steel multifunctional rack, and a recipe book.

Clean up is easy too as this air fryer is dishwasher safe or can be hand washed! We usually hand wash it to prevent the basket from taking up too much space in the dishwasher.

Overall I’ve been LOVING our Tastee air fryer. The smart probe really puts this air fryer on another level.

Tastee’s air fryer with the ceramic coated basket can be purchased for $189. We’ve been using this air fryer quite frequently and I personally feel that it’s worth it!
